Hamid Ahmad Khan

Professor Hamid Ahmad Khan was a distinguished man of letters, literary and cultural critic, teacher, and educator who dedicated his life to the advancement of English Literature and education in Pakistan. For several decades, he taught English Literature at Islamia College, Lahore, where he inspired generations of students with his profound knowledge and dedication to excellence.
He served as Principal of Islamia College from 1958 to 1963, and later as Vice Chancellor of the University of the Punjab, Lahore, from 1963 to 1969. His scholarly contributions include over half a dozen influential books on literature and culture. In recognition of his outstanding service to education and literature, he was honored with the Sitara-i-Imtiaz and Sitara-i-Pakistan by the Government of Pakistan.
